Man Sells Ebola.com For $200,000
Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen donated $100m to facilitate research on Ebola remedies, a feat that made him the single biggest donor to the Ebola outbreak.
Meanwhile, someone else has managed to make money out of the crises. Jon Schultz of Blue String Ventures, bought Ebola.com in 2008 for $13,500 and flipped it for $200,000 in the heat of the current Ebola outbreak, According to a SEC filing, the buyer is a Russian company called Weed Growth Fund, which is
paying $50,000 in cash and handing over 19,192 shares, valued at around $164,000, that it holds in another company.
We do not know what plans the Russian company has for Ebola.com, it is still unchanged with generic articles on Ebola.
It is reported that Schultz and Chris Hood, his partner, also has ownership of BirdFlu.com and H1N1.com.
